All that I give is given to myself”                                               from A COURSE IN MIRACLES

These two quotes summarize a powerful spiritual principal:  basically you’re rewarding yourself or failing to reward yourself by what and how you give in life.   If you keep this principal in mind, you will be careful to do your best and give your best in each situation in order to receive the best.   I’ll tell you a short, but true story to illustrate how this principal works in a practical way:

One day my son was at the supermarket with me.   He picked out a Hershey chocolate candy bar that he wanted to buy, but he dropped it on the ground before he could put it in the shopping cart.  He wanted to get another one and put the first one back, but I warned him that he should do “the right thing” and buy the one he dropped since he broke it.  Well, we left the store that day with a candy bar, but I did not realize it was not the broken one because he had put the first one back on the shelf.

About a week later, my son and I were back at the same Safeway store.  We bought a Hershey chocolate candy bar for him and took it back home.  He opened it, and to his amazement (and disappointment), it was broken in pieces!  When I asked him if he had put back the broken candy bar the other week,  he said “yes.”  Well I wonder if that was the very same candy bar which ended come coming back to him.  The whole incident was strangely ironical.

This story is based on a real event guys… and it demonstrates a true and practical principal at work in our lives, whether we realize it or not.  When we’re giving–we’re actually giving to ourselves.  So here are some ideas for giving powerfully so you can receive that fulfilled life you desire:

1. Give your best to God first–this includes time, talents, praise–so he can can empower you spiritually with inspiration, peace, insight, and vision for what you can do with your life.

2.  Give your best  from your talents and gifts towards bringing Light to the world.  This includes developing your gifts and then figuring out ways to share them.  This is so important for your personal fulfillment and sense of purpose.

3.  When you’re interacting with others give them the same treatment and love you would want for yourself.  People are drawn to those who are giving and radiating out Love and Light.

4.  Share a smile;  share a hug.

5.  Share some uplifting words with someone.

As paradoxical as it may seem–it’s actually through giving that we can receive what we really want in life!   So get busy cultivating an outgoing attitude.

THE DONKEY

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out
what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered
up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something
amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up
over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.
The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step
up.
Each of our troubles is a steppingstone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!

Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from God.

Living in the Flow of the “River of Life”

You  will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing…

Isaiah 55:12

Isn’t that some wonderful imagery described in that scripture?!  I wanna live like that…plugged into the River of Life!  Don’t you?  Today I want to talk about how we can align ourselves  with the “River of Living Waters” or the ultimate “flow” in life.  It’s really the only option if we want to experience the optimal life, chocked full of creative expression, joy, energy, health, and prosperity. 

In my experience, you form a winning combination in life when Spirit, mind and actions are brought into agreement and surrender to God.  Then you access tremendous power and flow to move you towards your vision.  In this state of union with God, you will have a sense of purpose, peace, and presence of mind which will open you to inspiration from the higher realms.  The mind must open and invite (Holy) Spirit in, and then we must actively walk in agreement with the inspiration of the Spirit, including the Divine Spiritual laws.  If we are not living according to the Spiritual Law of Love, we cannot be fully blessed.

1. Coming back into spiritual alignment with God:

To come into alignment spiritually with God under Jesus Christ, you must receive the  Holy Spirit and be born again from above.  How do you become reconnected to God?  To save time, I have copied the list of steps from Emerald City Bible Fellowship, a Christian fellowship in the Seattle area, plus added a little bit of my own words.  I would actually word things a little differently myself, but I think this will do for now.  If you find anything offensive below, please seek further clarity:

1. Admit that you have rebelled by not following God’s perfect law (Romans 3:23; I John 1:9).

2. Believe that Jesus is God’s only son, and that his death and resurrection is the only possible payment for your rebellion (John 3:16; Romans 3:23-26).

3. Ask Jesus to take the penalty for your rebellious actions (sins) so that you can be declared right with God (Romans 10:9; John 1:12).

4. Commit to place God first in your life by studying and obeying God’s truth in the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

In order to have a right relationship with God, pray through the steps above and then commit yourself to grow in your new spiritual life in Christ by daily talking to God in prayer, meditating, and reading the Bible and other spiritual truths based on Christ’s teachings.

2. Bringing your mind into alignment

Allowing the refreshing presence and light of God to re-enter your mind will give you deep peace and open up your channels to further revelations and inspiration from the Spirit.

This is a place of surrendering to the reality of God, where the lower mind has been quieted and you are in communion with God.  Once you have done step one above, it will be easier to allow step 2 to happen.  In the mind and in our thoughts is where creation and manifestation begins for us on earth. As you allow the inspirations of heaven and Christ’s way of thinking to infiltrate your mind, you will be setting the stage for the marvelous manifestation of the Kingdom of God in your life and in the world.  You will receive a vision for what you can personally aim towards in your life.

3. Bringing your Actions into alignment.

This is about coming to actually live and walk out the spiritual way of life.  You live according to Love and the Divine Spiritual Law.  You begin to take action steps on the vision(s) Spirit has placed in your heart and mind.  Your bring all of yourself into alignment with God, including what you do with your body, your time, etc.  Your time schedule works for God’s purpose; what you eat works toward that end; You exercise to enableyour body to flow with optimal energy for the purpose.  And the list goes on.

Let’s conclude by acknowledging that the time for change, awakening, and walking in purpose is now.  We cannot know our purpose without knowing who we are–spiritual beings walking the earth.  And we cannot know who we are without aligning ourselves with God again, since we were the ones who walked away.

This is the true story of how M.T. downloaded a miracle of provision for her dream trip!  Some of the phrases in the story are written in purple italic  letters, and will be explained individually below the story:

M.T. wanted to take a trip to Los Angeles for a special event and to visit a special person.  Even though she had pre-purchased an airline ticket, she did not have enough money for hotel expenses and other costs related to the trip. But on the day of the trip she headed for the airport, expecting that somehow God would provide. M.T. was a regularly paid tithes, consistently giving 10% of her income to the church she attended.  Her daughter also gave financial gifts, on different occasions, to spiritual organizations.  M.T. and her daughter were running late on the day of the flight and M.T became concerned about missing her flight during the drive to the airport.  Even though they appeared to be about to miss the flight according to the clock, M.T.’s daughter began to use the “Word of God/Truth“ as an affirmation:  “We arrive everywhere with perfect timing as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven,” she stated out loud again and again.  The two of them reached the airport with just a few minutes to spare and M.T. made her way quickly to the check-in counter.  Surprisingly, the attendant told her that she was the last person to arrive for the flight and there was no seat for her on the plane because the flight had been over-booked. “Can we pay you $600 to put you on a flight that leaves later today ma’am?” the attendant at the counter asked.  “We can write you a check for $600 right now.”  Needless to say, M.T. accepted the offer and she was able to cash the check right there at the airport. She had literally caused an idea or desire conceived in the mental and spiritual realm to come into manifestation on this plane, thereby receiving the extra money she desired for her excursion!

Miracle
I define a miracle” as an event or occurence that gives evidence of the existence of a supernatural realm, a realm that we do not sense with our 5 physical senses.  A miracle also gives evidence of a Love force outside of ourselves that is potent enough to provide answers to our problems and heal us.  One way of looking at this is that all kinds of other experiences exist in the realm of all possibilities for us to live out, and we call them forth through desire, faith, and belief and action.  When we choose not to open up to or believe in something new, we close the door to that experience and keep ourselves “locked in the box” of what we choose to believe in.

Expecting
If you’re truly expecting something to happen, then you can often see it in your mind’s eye and sense it in the Spirit.  You will go out in faith, expecting to receive that thing somehow.  You will take action steps in that direction.

Tithes
Tithing is the practice of giving 10% of one’s income “back to God” through a religious institution.  The scriptures state for us to give and “it will be given unto you full measure, pressed down, and running over.”  I have heard of numerous experiences of this.  I also believe that in giving, we make room for something new to come into the empty space we’ve created.

Word of God/Truth
To me, the “Word of God” is a concept that can even be beyond any written scriptures from a holy book.  To speak the “Word of God” is to speak a truth that is based on an eternal spiritual principal.  It is also a word or understanding spoken from the “Spirit Man” within you that is in communion with God.

Affirmation
To make an affirmation is to speak of a positive spiritual truth out loud.  You can find a relevant affirmation or Word of God for each challenge that you are facing, and speak it out loud to call Spirit into to play to begin manifesting a solution.

We arrive everywhere with perfect timing as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven
I use this affirmation sometimes with varying degrees of success.  This affirmation is based on the fact that if you’ve surrendered your life to God, you have been born again of the Spirit and have a new life in Christ.  As such, you become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, and you can operate under the perfect and holy laws of this kingdom.  This is all taken from New Testament scriptures in the Holy Bible.

An idea or desire conceived int he mental and spiritual realm
I believe manifestation or creation on this plane begins in the thought realm.  When the thought is in alignment with God’s Spirit and purpose and plan, then that desire or thought more easily manifests.

I was looking at my girls the other day, and kind of wondering why their teachers had reported that they seemed to lack confidence in the classroom setting.  It occurred to me that a good remedy for their lack of confidence would be to give them more positive re-reinforcement through the words I speak to them at home.  When I actually thought about it, I realized I was probably correcting and reprimanding them a lot more than I was speaking encouragement and uplifting phrases to them.   I wonder how many others do that? I decided I would work at looking for the good and telling them at least three positive things about themselves each day.

A Course in Miracles, a well known text that espouses spiritual truths, speaks about the need for us to “defend the truth“, and to defend the innocence of our brothers and sisters,  since there is actually a subconscious tendency within ourselves and creation to do the opposite as a result of mankind’s fall from grace.”  The truth according to the Holy Scriptures is  that God is Love and His glory is everywhere present (The whole earth is full with His glory, Isaiah 6:3).  We simply need to acknowledge the light of God everywhere to become more aware of it; instead of blocking it by looking for the “bad” in others.   And the more we acknowledge the presence of good and Light, the more we experience and become aware of God.

It’s easy, and almost natural in this world because of it’s fallen state to be critical of someone and look for the worst.   But this way of looking at things actually blocks us from seeing the Light of God…and we do want to look for the Light of God in creation because it’s through our personal awareness of the presence of God that we will increase our peace, power, and true prosperity.

We’ve been forgiven,
so let’s start livin’!

I want to talk about what this really means to me.  Please join me on my journey as a fellow learner and facilitator in awakening to the wonderful, limitless life “outside the box.”

You’ve no doubt heard it said that we’ve been forgiven because Jesus Christ took the penalty for our sin (which is death) in place of us on the cross.  (Romans 6:23, 3:25)  I’m going to point you to some more writings to read at your own discretion about Christ beyond religion if you would like to read more.  TiffanySnow.com, TheFourthhealing.com and  LoveWins.Net.  800-535-5474 God’s L.A.W. Love Always Wins! What forgiveness truly means is our past life of separation from God has been erased and we are free now to start a new life made out of Divine Love once we can receive a personal revelation of this “forgiveness.”

Secondly, Jesus said, “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness” (John 10:10 in the New Living Translation of the Bible).

Conclusion: If you’ve truly been released from your past and from the veil of sin through forgiveness, you can now start living “outside the box” in the abundant, unlimited life where you are one with God.

Science says we’re using only a small percentage of our brain.  Physicists have evidence for the idea of parallel universes, and that our thoughts have something to do with outcomes (Schroeder’s Cat).  Scriptures say that God is the creator of worlds (notice worlds has an “s”) and that He made things we can see and things we can’t see.  Jesus said that all things are possible to him who believes.  What all of this leads me to believe is that there is a huge range of possibilities and experiences that we are not exploring and living in.  There’s lots of wonderful life scenarios in this dimension as well as in other dimensions (I believe) that we could be living in. We need to use our imaginations joined with God’s Spirit to begin to imagine greater more Loving and joyful possibilities for our lives as individuals and groups on the planet.

Life “inside the box” means a life where you are held captive by limiting and destructive thoughts.  Life “outside the box” means a release from the cycles of sin and a return to co-creation with God.

This is really exciting news to me…and I realize I’ve only just begun!  I want to talk about a couple of steps that you’ll need to make to effectively begin your journey outside of the box.

STEP 1: Encounter God.  An encounter with God involves a supernatural revelatory experience with God that opens the door to the supernatural dimension of oneness with God.  This is available through believing that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and asking him to come into your heart/life.  (Please do not hesitate to contact myself on this subject if you have any questions: roxann.drake@mydreampower.com)

STEP 2: Experience the reality of forgiveness.  This experience may happen to you in step one, since a true encounter with God shows you your true nature as Spirit and as sinless.  When you experience true forgiveness,  you will actually feel lighter, like a great burden or weight has been lifted from your chest, and a great peace will fill you.  You must drink from the cup of forgiveness on a regular basis since the consciousness of this world can invade and cloud your mind again.

STEP 3: Realize that as you awaken to your true state as a spiritual being that you can now begin to co-create with God again, joined with his mind and thinking (through Christ).  Now you can truly begin to live in Love, joy, and abundance!

Here are 5 great reasons to remain upbeat about yourself and your fellow human beings on the planet.  I will just state these truths for now, but I will write more about them later:

• We’ve already been forgiven,  so let’s start really livin’!
• God has already spoken (…and  He’s spoken good words over his children),
  and his word cannot be broken!
• Light shines through the darkness when whatever is blocking the Light has been removed.
• Truth is stronger than fiction
• Love is stronger than fear.

Does life seem to have you confined…limited in possibilities, “locked in a frustrating box?”  Well I want to talk with you a little bit about what’s waiting outside “the box” and try to convince you that you  should want more than anything to be released.

For starters, the realm of unlimited possibilities is one thing that’s waiting for us outside of the box.   And if that’s not enough, then there are the gifts of Greater Love, freedom, a sense of release from the past, and a return of hope in new possibilities.  Basically moving outside of the box frees us up to make higher choices and move toward more Lightness, which is the goal for all of us.

Let me describe what “locked in a box” might look like for you:  You seem to be locked into limited income, locked into addiction, locked into a cycle of anger and violence perhaps.  Well folks I certainly can’t claim to be completely released from all the downsides of life on planet earth yet.  I’m on this journey just like you, but I hope to be a facilitator in helping you to begin to experience a Lighter and more joyful journey as I share the lessons of my healing.

Folks, it’s all about the magic or miracle of forgiveness.  I began to experience some of this Divine stuff the other day.  I’m about to get personal with you as I share an experience:

Through my life experiences, I became locked in a box of anger, despair, and unforgiveness with my spouse, with God, and my life.  In my mind, I would repeat the same thoughts over and over again of what my spouse had done to offend me, and how I had made all the wrong choices in life.  My heart felt very heavy and I couldn’t see any way out.  I was locked in a serious box, even though it was of my own creation from my thoughts and beliefs and holding on to things that had happened in the past.

I began to realize that what I needed was forgiveness.  So I told God I was willing to forgive myself, and my husband.  Just with that small amount of intention, I began to feel a lightening up of the heaviness in my heart and a tiny glimmer of a new vision of the possility of a happier relationship.  And over the next several days, as I continued along the path of asking for forgiveness and refusing to allow thoughts of condemnation to remain in my awareness, a new sense a possibilities and joy has been restored to my life.  Hey give God an inch and he’ll take a mile. Just give him a teeny weeny bit of willingness if that’s all you can give, and he will begin to work on the restoration process. His Love is so powerful!

Even though there are different methods of achieving release from your blocks in life, I will focus on helping you receive the most powerful grace and  forgiveness offered through the atonement that Jesus Christ made on the cross for all sin.  (The definition of sin is any thought, belief, or action that is contrary to the nature of God, and thus leads to an experience of separation from God and Goodness.).  Pray and ask to receive Jesus’ atonement for sin for yourself.  If you can believe and truly desire it from your heart, it’s the quickest way back to the restoring of peace deep down in your soul, and the opening of the doorway back to God.  If you have any questions about this journey, please don’t hesitate to contact me by email.

Summarizing Forgiveness:

• True forgiveness is releasing the experiences of the past so new and better things have room to begin.
• It lightens you up (from your burdens when you do this).
• It opens you up to more Love and Light.
• You can begin to see the possibilities outside of the box.
• It allows you to reconnect with God and obtain peace for your soul.

We’re trying to get out of the recession. We’re trying to get out of relationships that are “making us unhappy.” We’re trying to figure out how we can get ourselves out of this or that crisis, or perhaps how we can we get more time out of our day.

Well, I think I have an answer for all of us. The only way out is into God!  We’re headed into a spiritual revolution here and it’s time to come on board.  We’ve got to start looking outside of our sphere of known solutions into the “realm of all possibilities” (I’m talking about God y’all!). How about into a higher dimension. The bottom line is that the only way we’re going to achieve a solution bringing lasting peace is to go “into God” and get it.

What does getting “into God” look like for you? Maybe it means starting a more real living relationship with God. Maybe it means spending more time in quiet meditation with Him. Maybe it means believing more in Love, in what you cannot see, and knowing that there are answers and help out there that you can’t yet see. Psalm 34:10  in the Bible says:

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing..

Looking at what’s happening in America right now with the economy, the Democrats thought they had it all figured out. Yet what has been put into place by them has not really solved our financial problems.  Now, the Republicans think they have the best answer to how to correct things. Frankly, I don’t think unbridled capitalism or liberal involvement and capital from the government is the complete answer to our woes right now. I think we’d better stop and pray and visualize and speak into manifestation that society which we want to create as co-creators. Those who are awakened and operating from a heart of Divine Love need to begin to get together in groups and speak light and God-level vision into our societies systems. We need to wake up and remember that creation begins from the spiritual/mental level, and then takes form. What do we want to see here in our governent? Do we want to call forth a society of respect, love, and mutual benefit to everyone. Let’s use our spiritual power as Children of God to do it! Feel free to join me at Iwannachangetheworld.net
